The Civil Liberties Monitoring Project Annual Community Forum, "Democracy: Under Siege from Within" will feature Professor Sheldon Wolin; forfeiture attorney Bill Panzer; Dan Taranto of the Code Enforcement Task Force; Kaitlin Sopoci-Belknap of the Measure T campaign; Dale Gieringer of California NORML and (RO-bee) Robie Tenorio from the GI Rights hotline. The Civil Liberties Monitoring Project (CLMP) has organized a Humboldt County District #2 Supervisor Candidates' Night, on Friday, October 10th, 2008, from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Veterans Memorial Building in Garberville. The public event is co-sponsored by CLMP and the Garberville Veterans Association. Attendees will be able to ask questions, and each candidate will have an opportunity to respond. Read more

Code Enforcement Task Force Meetingposted: May 19, 2008
The first Humboldt County Code Enforcement Task Force meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 23 in Humboldt County courthouse conference room B at 10:00 am. Newly appointed Supervisor Johanna Rodoni will be taking the place of her late husband on this task force. The meeting is open to the public. For more on the meeting agenda click here.

Mission Statement
The purpose of the Civil Liberties Monitoring Project is to monitor, document, advocate & educate about civil rights and civil rights abuses by law enforcement and other government agencies in Humboldt, Mendocino and Trinity counties. The aim of CLMP, founded by local citizens of Southern Humboldt County, CA, is to encourage public awareness of constitutional rights and encourage involvement of the whole community in preserving and protecting them.
