CIVIL LIBERTIES MONITORING PROJECT and GARBERVILLE VETERANS ASSOCIATION present a HUMBOLDT COUNTY DISTRICT #2 SUPERVISOR CANDIDATES NIGHT on Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Veterans Memorial Building in Garberville.

The Civil Liberties Monitoring Project (CLMP) has organized a Humboldt County District #2 Supervisor Candidates’ Night, for Monday, May 7, 2012, starting at 7 pm at the Veterans Memorial Building on the corner of Conger & Locust Streets in Garberville. This public event is co-sponsored by CLMP, the Garberville Veterans Association, and KMUD Redwood Community Radio.

Doors open at 6:30 pm, and the debate will start promptly at 7 pm, and will be aired live on KMUD Redwood Community Radio from 7 – 9 pm.

Second Supervisorial District incumbent Clif Clendenen and challenger Estelle Fennell will make short presentations to be followed by questions and responses, moderated by community facilitators, Robie Tenorio and Douglas Fir.

Audience members may ask their questions directly, or submit questions on cards that will be provided. Both candidates will have an opportunity to respond to each question and statement from the public and also an opportunity for rebuttals. The public will have the opportunity to comment and ask follow up questions themselves after the written questions are addressed.

Voter Registration Forms will be available for citizens who want to register to vote in the November election.

Everyone is encouraged to attend this town meeting. Please call our office, 923-4646 with any questions, or email clmp@civilliberties.org
